The View’s Sunny Hostin name-dropped her status as a TV host and a former federal prosecutor in attempts to get her son out of a ticket after he was detained for trespassing, with many blasting her hypocrisy and elitist privilege.
Body cam footage of the June 16 incident shows the daytime talk show host telling her son, Gabriel Hostin, to inform cops his mother is a “federal prosecutor,” as he was busted and hand-cuffed for “criminal trespassing” along the Metro-North Railroad tracks in New Rochelle, New York.
“My name is Sunny Hostin and I’m one of the co-hosts of ‘The View’ and I’m a former federal prosecutor,” she told an officer over the phone, as she rushed to the scene.

“That’s my son. He’s a Harvard graduate, he doesn’t have a criminal record,” she insisted.

Gabriel claimed he saw gates open during a jog and went through the area, apparently ignoring signs reading “no trespassing” as he entered an active right-of-way section of the railroad tracks.
Eventually, the officer agreed to reduce his misdemeanor infraction to a violation and an order to appear, telling him, “We’re dimming it down to a trespass violation because you were in the right-of-way, you weren’t in the gauge or anything, which is the middle area where the tracks were on… And you’ve been very cooperative with us and you have a good background, everything like that. We know you’re not a criminal or anything like that but our hands are tied with cameras everywhere.”
But over the phone Hostin still asked, “Officer, is that really necessary?”

As Hostin arrived, she continued arguing for cops not to cite Gabriel, saying, “I’m a former federal prosecutor. He knows. He’s a Harvard grad who teaches 4th grade geometry to South Bronx kids.”
Hostin was slammed for hypocrisy after attempting to skirt the law after previously asserting that “No one is above the law” when referring to President Trump.

As much as I dislike the women of the View, I have to agree that it is ridiculous for giving a ticket to a rather decent individual who made a slight mistake of where to jog, as sometimes things are not clearly marked. F the pigs has always been my motto. There are more important things for these pigs to be doing, like protecting innocent people from being tossed off of train platforms into oncoming trains. Instead, they go after extremely minor shit, like jaywalking, being too close to a bldg, etc. All BS stuff. F the Police! And the women of the View are liberal shit bags.
Such a Harper Valley PTA.
They are all such whited sepulchers.
Inwardly evil, outwardly virtuous.
